SPARCS is a free computer program for simulating the performance of solid propellant rocket motors. This program is intended for the experimental rocketry community and has the necessary tools for designing motors that will work in real life. If you're not interested in building a real rocket motor then SPARCS can also serve as a great resource for school projects. Design a powerful rocket motor capable of space flight and export it to RockSim to watch it fly!

  • Calculate chamber pressure, motor case strength, thrust, optimal nozzle dimensions, instantaneous igniter pressure, center of gravity and more.

  • Solid propellant grain geometries: Finocyl, Star, Moon, C Slot, BATES, End Burner.

  • Library of materials and propellants for rapid design.

  • Export data to RockSim or OpenRocket (.rse) for flight simulations.
